There will be tens of thousands of books to purchase, for the bargain price of $3.50 per book and $1 for children’s books & $10 for a bag of children’s books!

After months of rehearsal, Maroochydore State High School students are prepared to stage their musical
production Popstars! The 90s Musical.
It’s the 1990s and Mark is head over heels in love with his girlfriend, Queen Bee, Shannon Van de Witt.
When Shannon learns that pop-band impresario Simon Austin is the surprise judge at the State Talent Show she dumps him for her
chance at showbiz stardom.
Mark rapidly goes from High School hero to High School zero. His garage band buddies rally around him and soon a plan for revenge is hatched to change their grunge band to a boy-band and snatch the Talent Show title from Shannon’s Candy Girls.
There’s just one small problem… the boys can’t dance. Mark enlists the help of the ultra talented, new girl Ella, to help with their boy
band makeover and sparks soon fly. Can Mark get the girl, get the Grand Prize and get even with the scheming Shannon closing in? It’s anyone’s guess as the countdown to the Grand Finale begins.
It’s sure to be one to remember!

Noosa Chorale and orchestra, under the baton of conductor Kim Kirkman, present a concert performance filled with hopes for peace in our time.
“The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace” by Karl Jenkins, one of the world’s greatest living composers,
reflects on the brutality of war and the joy when peace finally comes.
The accompanying images show us both the awful realities of war, and the relief that follows when war is ended, reminding us of the goodwill at the heart of our shared humanity, no matter where in the world, no matter what religion or spiritual belief.
The programme also includes other exquisitely uplifting choral and instrumental pieces: “Miserere mei, Deus” composed in the mid-1600s, Albinoni’s Adagio for strings, Max Bruch’s “Kol Nidrei”, and the heavenly “Agnus Dei” by 20th century composer Samuel Barber.
