Home means something different to everyone. It may be a place, a feeling, or the people who make us feel safe, valued and understood.

This exhibition celebrates the creativity, individuality and artistic voices of a remarkable group of emerging artists. For these artists, home is found in many places—the love and support of their families, the friendships they share, and the True Colours studio community that has grown around them.

Having all graduated from Palmview Special School, these artists share a unique connection. They have continued their journey together beyond the classroom, finding friendship, belonging and a sense of family through True Colours.

Every artwork in this exhibition tells a unique story, reflecting the interests, personalities and creative journeys of the artist who created it. Each artist brings their own way of seeing the world, creating with curiosity, instinct and imagination. Their work is not limited by the expectation of realism; instead, it is guided by personal expression, spontaneity and joy. This freedom brings a unique energy, movement and honesty to every piece.

At True Colours, we celebrate and nurture these individual artistic voices, allowing each artist’s perspective to shine. Together, these works celebrate courage, creativity, connection and the joy of creating.
