Open Studios Sunshine Coast provides a rare opportunity to go behind the scenes, connect directly with makers, and support the region’s artistic community.

The curated art trails travel through the gorgeous hinterland from the Glass House Mountains to Mapleton and along the coastline from Caloundra to Coolum and everywhere in between.

Embark on a self-guided journey, exploring local studios, purchasing one-of-a-kind artworks, participating in hands-on workshops with artists and gaining a deeper appreciation for the diverse artistic landscape that defines the Sunshine Coast.

This year the trail showcases an exciting array of mediums, including ceramics, drawing, glass, mixed media, painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture, textiles, metalwork, woodwork, jewellery, and more.

Whether you’re a seasoned collector or a first-time art lover, this is your chance to experience exceptional local art and purchase directly from the artists themselves.

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride is taking place in Caloundra on Sunday 18th May 2025.

The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, or DGR, is an annual international charity event celebrating classic and vintage styled motorcycles and the dapper gentlefolk that ride them.

Through charity partner Movember, DGR unites riders to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer research and men’s mental health.

Held during Pelvic Pain Awareness Month, this event helps raise vital funds and awareness for Sunshine Coast locals living with pelvic pain conditions like Endometriosis.Enjoy live tunes by Ruby Thursday, grab a delicious brew from Spill the Beans Coffee, and tuck into a classic Aussie BBQ cooked up by the Buderim Lions.

The walk is mostly flat and very manageable with prams, making it perfect for families.

It’s a lovely way to wind down the weekend and ideal for teams of colleagues, workmates, friends, or families to enjoy together.

Every step brings us closer to our goal of establishing a dedicated Women’s Health Centre right here on the Sunshine Coast.

Noosa Chorale and orchestra, under the baton of conductor Kim Kirkman, present a concert performance filled with hopes for peace in our time.

“The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace” by Karl Jenkins, one of the world’s greatest living composers,
reflects on the brutality of war and the joy when peace finally comes.

The accompanying images show us both the awful realities of war, and the relief that follows when war is ended, reminding us of the goodwill at the heart of our shared humanity, no matter where in the world, no matter what religion or spiritual belief.

The programme also includes other exquisitely uplifting choral and instrumental pieces:  “Miserere mei, Deus” composed in the mid-1600s, Albinoni’s Adagio for strings, Max Bruch’s “Kol Nidrei”, and the heavenly “Agnus Dei” by 20th century composer Samuel Barber.

This year 4 Paws is celebrating it’s 20th anniversary.

We are a 100% volunteer run, not for profit organisation dedicated to saving, supporting and rehoming dogs and cats in need across the Sunshine Coast.

Since our inception in 2005, we’ve provided thousands of animals with a second chance of a new home and a new life.

In recognition of this amazing achievement we are hosting a fundraising lunch.   Come and enjoy a 3-course delicious meal and have the chance to win raffle and lucky door prizes together with bidding in our silent auctions!  We hope to see you there!

Tewantin Uniting Church is 75 years old.

On Saturday 31 May we are planning a community day starting at midday and continuing to 3 pm with stalls, children’s activities, a free community sausage sizzle and most importantly a display of our history.

On Sunday 1 June the direction turns inwards as we celebrate in worship at 9 am with the Moderator and afterwards with brunch.

No experience necessary – a dance caller will teach each dance and call the steps as you go.  This is a family-friendly event.

Bring water to stay hydrated and bring a plate to share for supper.  BYO drinks.

Wear shoes appropriate for the activity – sneakers are always good.  This is the night to leave your pluggers, high heels and fancy, strappy sandals in the wardrobe.

The price is $15 per person, except primary school aged children or younger, who get in for free.

The Vinnies CEO Sleepout is a one-night event held on one of the longest and coldest nights of the year.

CEOs, business owners as well as community and government leaders sleep outdoors to support the many Australians who are experiencing homelessness and people at risk of homelessness. 

Each CEO Sleepout participant commits to raising a minimum amount of funds to help Vinnies provide essential services to the people who need them. 

Join us on Fri June 20 for a fabulous night of Family Fundraising, Dinner and Raffle at the Buderim War Memorial Hall. 

You will experience authentic Vietnamese Food while having a chance to win prizes and raffles throughout the night.

All this for only $40.

You will be thrilled to know that the work we do is life-saving in many instances.

We assist:

• 200-400 people to go through cataract surgery

• distribute 1,000 bags of food to the poor

• look after 2 orphanages and 2 schools

• build and maintain 4 houses and 6 wells

• support 13 disabled children and their families monthly

and we pay our own expenses leaving all the monies raised given to the charity.
